Hey True! Love the forum!! Looks great. Harley is loving the summer! Just wants to be outside ALL the time. Unfortunately, our fence is literally falling apart so she can't spend as much time out off leash as she would like. I know she loves to just lye out there by herself, but we don't have a pen, so its no alone time for Harley.
I want to get a kiddy pool for her for the summer. We are going to be doing so much yard work that it will be nice for her to just lye around in while we're busy.
I wish the poor thing could go to the river. Oh, well, I know she'll love the kiddy pool. Summer was a slow start here in cold Alberta, but I it has warmed up quite a bit. It will be 29C tomorrow. I think that's high 80's for you. I think the nice weather has a lot to do with Calgary Flames taking home the cup tomorrow.

Thats just great! My dogs like to lay around and sun bathe. I had one female who would lay in the sun even though it was blazing outside. Would worry we, she had a chain space that was mostly sun so I moved her right next to the house where there was a big shady tree and she went to the very end of her chain that was just out of reach of the shade and laid there. I bet stays cold a bit up north, glad its finally warming up for you I'd definatly go for the kiddy pool, my dogs just love walking in the water and getting cool, or even laying in it.

I live near the ocean. I take my dogs for walks by a local cove. My newest American Pit Bull Terrier named Daisy (I have had her one month) was scared of the (VERY SMALL WAVES) it took her quite a while before she could relax and enjoy the water. Now all she wants to do is go running into it. I also have a kiddy pool for my dogs and they love it! I actualy bought a "Sand Box" to use so their nails would not rip the cheap liner the pools are made of. Last year, we went thru 3 kiddle pools. Mostly they were chewed up!!

That must be nice living near the ocean. Some of these dogs really love water. Post some pics of your wonderful dogs in the photos section if you like. I don't think I've seen Daisy yet. Water Babies

ya, it gets very hot here in the summer, it was 109 degrees f yesterday, all my dogs have pools, and big troughs that they lay in, and about 12 buckets around the yard they drink from, for some reason they dont like to drink their swimming water, but they love to drink OUR pool water. true it looks like your red girl likes to chase water and play in the hose??? my baby gurl loves to do that, to the point where i cant even use the hose to clean her mess from the porch when she eats her chair...lol

I don't know if this will work but here are pics of my dogs. I don't know how everyone else posts great pics on these forums? I don't have that much talent with the computer. Anyway, I just found out yesterday that Daisy has a heart mumur. She is going to have an echocardiogram next Thursday. I pray she will be alright. She is now in training for a workshop seminar this coming September on Breed Ambassadorship!!! She will be the center of attention for ACO's, law enforcement, politicians, vets, Dem, humaine society's, and pitbull rescue volunteers. I took her to the vets to get a check up and they found the mumur. It is only a two on a scale of 1-6 with 6 being the worse. So everyone say a prayer for Daisy. I will be praying for her! You better believe it. The link didn't work. To post a picture you copy the url and then you hit the botton (see where it says add tags: above the message text box) you click the botton that looks like a picture frame then paste where it says URL. This will be the beginning tag then your URL then the end tag which will look like this. [/img]
